'Maiden' Bafta and DGA Nominations

Yesterday Alex Holmes, director of 'Maiden', received a nomination for Best Documentary from the Directors Guild of America. Less than 24 hours later we heard that he had received an Outstanding Debut nomination from BAFTA. Fantastic news and I am also thrilled for my friends Waad al-Kateab ('For Sama') and Feras Fayyad ('The Cave') for keeping the horrors of the Syrian civil war in the public eye with a number of nominations across the awards.
