After a joyous premiere in Bogotá with all the contributors in attendnace, The Lost Children was launched on Netflix, and the response has been phenomenal. In its first week, it has stayed in the Top Ten films globally, becoming the platform's second most-watched non-English language film. For a documentary that delves into challenging themes, including Colombia's internal conflict, the historical mistreatment of Indigenous peoples worldwide, and humanity’s disregard for the planet's jungles and forests, this reception is particularly reassuring. People engage with nuanced and complex documentaries, given a great story. All the contributors are really happy with the film, and that means the world to me.
